Global Competitiveness and Productivity Growth Strategy Development Seminar

The “Global Competitiveness and Productivity Growth Strategy Seminar” held by APO in Taiwan this year focused on the strength and weakness of APO member countries in terms of national competitiveness and facilitated exchanges of policies that effectively stimulated national innovation capabilities to achieve productivity enhancement. The seminar also provided a platform for discussing the way to attract more investments from public and private sectors and developing new strategies and policies to boost the national innovation capabilities, thereby promoting national prosperity. Moreover, experts from Taiwan and abroad are invited to introduce related concepts from the competitiveness enhancement linear model to the modern innovation system, from the innovative management theory to the practical innovation methods, processes and achievements, and the approaches to enhance competitiveness. It is hoped that the participants will apply what they learnt from the seminar to the formulation of policies of their countries, thereby achieving the goal of enhancing the competitiveness of respective countries.
