Taiwan-Laos Renewable Energy Conference

The APO Green Technical Service Team held a "Taiwan-Laos Renewable Energy Conference" in Vientiane on November 5 and invited Chairman of Sun Rise E&T CEO Joshua Tung and General Manager Tsai Tu-Heng of Cathay United Bank’s Vientiane Branch to share Taiwan’s floating solar system technology and project loan schemes. The team also invited Lao Research Institute of Energy and Mining and Électricité du Laos to explain the goal for green energy and current market situation in Laos. 
A total of 44 people from Lao Ministry of Energy and Mining, Ministry of Investment and Planning, Ministry of Science and Technology, Électricité du Laos, Vientiane Industrial Zone, and TSB (Japan-based solar power investment firm) attended the conference. The team continued to assist Sun Rise E&T in developing the Lao renewable energy market. This time, Sun Rise E&T negotiated with Électricité du Laos for a cooperation project in building a 30MW floating solar system near a reservoir in southern Laos, which would enable the Électricité du Laos to sell electricity to Cambodia.
