Investigate the Business Opportunity on Green Energy and Environmental Protection for Industrial Cooperation in Laos
The Green Technical Service Team of Asian Productivity Organization (APO) led our green energy experts and businesses to Laos in March and investigated the current infrastructure in the Vientiane Industrial Zone and the Champasak Industrial Zone in the South. The team also discussed potential cooperation opportunities on industrial area electricity and environmental protection facilities with Laos Research Institute of Energy and Mining (RIEM), the Champasak Special Economic Zone Administration, local industrial zone developers, and other organizations. The authority of Laos has high confidence in Taiwan's technology and quality of products and intends to cooperate on an industrial level.
Vientiane plans to build a 14MW floating solar system this year with a total investment of about 14 million US Dollars. The Green Technical Service Team will assist industry players from Taiwan in pursuing business opportunities for related equipment purchases. On the other hand, the Champasak Industrial Zone proposes to the Green Technical Service Team that the manufacturers have technical cooperation requirements for environmental assessment operations and wastewater treatment. The team will introduce relevant domestic players to communicate with the party in the future and expand the cooperation between Taiwan and the industry.
