APO Green Technical Service Team launched an APO demonstration project training program in Indonesia.

The Green Technical Service Team played matchmaker again in the joint application filed by Tatung Company, Indonesia non-profit organization, and Serang Job Training Institute to APO for the demonstration project funding. The demonstration project will be consisted of a solar power system installation and teaching kit, including single-crystalline and multi-crystalline solar systems, lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries, on-grid inverters and independent inverters. All components available in the teaching kit are intended for introducing features, characteristics and applications of different types of solar power systems. The Ministry of Village Development of Indonesia, with the goal to promote the use of electricity in rural villages, told Taiwanese representatives that green energy microgrids and related applications are under consideration.

After a meeting with the Ministry of Village Development, the Green Technical Service Team is entertaining the idea of forming a Taiwanese delegation consisted of domestic vendors and partners to conduct a field study of the local energy, environmental and agricultural technologies, products and demands in Indonesia rural villages, tentatively to depart next year. The service team will also collaborate with the Ministry of Village Development and a non-profit organization to hold workshops and an Indonesia-specific Technology Fair to present Taiwan’s innovative water treatment and environmental technologies, sharing Taiwan-based vendors’ experience in applying technologies in rural areas of foreign countries. The Green Technical Service Team will also discuss with the NPO about the feasibility of applying for BCBN subsidies to fund Indonesia rural village representatives’ trip to Taiwan in the following year.
